YSlow is an open-source website analysis tool that can be used to help identify web page performance issues. Originally released by Yahoo in 2007 as a web development tool, it was one of the first website development tools in the market. One of the major differences between YSlow and Google PageSpeed, for example, is that YSlow is a plugin that must be installed in the browser.
